Love is the answer to every problem I know. Sometimes difficult to locate for oneself so trying and looking and patience too are required. Know that others are struggling too.
I'm finding watching, if you have the time, old movies about WWII are helpful. It's not that far away from us.
I was in a relationship a while back, I wanted it to work. The guy a little older than I. It all went wrong because he had been a child in London in the war. The bombings destroyed his senses. His emotions were blunted in a way he simply couldn't express caring. He did feel it. We did have an opportunity to talk after he got therapy, and after he had gone through divorce from another woman.
Sorry for rambling without real point, but it seems like something that might help someone or bring more empathy somewhere. ❤️ Thanks Noel. Love to you.
The good news is: Suzie wouldn't give Nazelon an office in the White House. He's in the Eisenhower building across the street. Hear that whirring? It's Ike in his grave.
My contribution is to say: don't respond to ANY of the clickbait headlines--not here on the net or on TV. I would suggest picking out ONE reliable source of news & sticking with it.
Here is how I am surviving this horror show. I have worked in politics for many years…starting with the McGovern campaign. Based on all my hard work I have given myself the gift of not engaging with anybody I know who voted for Trump. I live amongst very wealthy people. ( I am not one of them…bought my house a long time ago and I’m very careful with money). The people who live here and voted for Trump are selfish , entitled pigs. I share none of their values…as if they have any besides money and their bullshit support of Trump “because of Israel.”…. Translation ..I want my 3 cars and 2 homes and designer crap and my wife, the vapid moron, needs Pilates 8 times a week and fillers and on and on. But I’ll say it’s all about Israel because that sounds like I care about something.
So I don’t engage with those assholes. Instead I give money to independent journalists and devour every word they write…and thank you Noel for every word you write…and also I’m a New Yorker living in South Florida.
I agree with you and have appreciated your commentary over the past several years, but right now, my spirit is broken as our house burned to the ground in the Eaton Fires. Many of us who have lost our homes are feeling un safe and vulnerable. This current administration feels like we are being pulverized.
I’m so beyond sorry to hear about your house, cannot imagine what you and so many others are going thru right now. I share your views on Trump & his administration. Sending good vibes and will help fight back and on behalf of all those suffering anyway I can. Stay strong🙏

I re-read what I posted this morning; I should have said, "It makes us feel, as human beings, like we, too, are being reduced to ash.
Thank you for all of your support.
