Suffering comes from the illusion of separateness.
We think we are alone.
The truth of reality is that we are connected to all that exists.
This is just very hard to see: the game of life is to create so many good vibes that you build a bridge in time to all that has ever been.
This is your mission on earth.
Few understand the assignment; the individual ego, while a miracle for harnessing the power of creativity, can become a tremendous hindrance to understanding that you are never alone and never will be.
Love never leaves us, it IS us.
Death and loss are like a period at the end of a sentence.
They are never the end of the story.
It is my belief that some things in life are predetermined.
You are born with a certain amount of blessings and an equal amount of issues that may effect your life.
The challenge is to let the vulnerabilities you encounter in life open your heart to the suffering of others and align that awareness with your gifts in service of the greater good.
This is how a life should be lived.
It also frees you from a search for meaning because the very presence of these circumstances in your life will draw you deeper into your own being.
We need only look at our lives to see the same sort of themes coming up again and again.
The most resonant ones usually begin in childhood.
For me, a lot of the deeper insecurities I have felt and witnessed made a lasting impact on my personality and how I behaved as a person.
This was not always positive. Like many, I spent a lot of years acting out as a way of avoiding my own pain and the darkness of certain memories.
The beneficial aspects of sorting out your own themes usually only comes after the suffering that occurs - then we can become fully aware of these things.
Before we know the melody in our bones we tend to hit a few wrong notes, or in my case a lot of them.
You should be interested in becoming who you were meant to become, we all should.
There are not many things in life more important than that.
Helping others and being of service may be the shortest route to finding your authentic self.
Or aligning your personality with your soul - whichever label your prefer to use to describe what essentially amounts to achieving one thing: awareness.
There’s a sweetness to some of those who have suffered a lot.
A sad melancholy that can also be endearing and soulful - while also leaving you with an overarching sense that the owner of those attributes is anything but doomed.
We live in an age of snark and chaos; our discourse often discounts the suffering of many on both sides of the aisle and across the many borders that draw their curvy lines all over the one thing we all have in common.
At this very moment this planet and all of its people, creatures, flora and fauna need your help.
This past week we experienced the hottest day on record.
The best response to all of this insanity and suffering, political or climate change-driven is to look into your own heart and use your talents to help whoever you can, as often as you can.
Kindness and compassion seem in short supply at times but they flow from a place that is infinite.
Find your source and share, ad infinitum.
Peace.
Beautiful truth.
