Our greatest strength as a nation is our compassion. Empathy and equality always triumph over brutality. Especially when the aggression of small-minded men is driven solely by greed. The flags that flew outside of Justice Alito and (former Federalist Society head honcho) Leonard Leo’s homes are not just beacons of their own personal extremism and allegiance to Trump.
Thanks for another great post. I have faith that Biden is running a great campaign, he has a sharp team working with him. I just hope he can break through all the negative trump news and start to get some attention from MSM. I wish they would have more presence in Florida though. I feel like they've given up on us. I haven't seen one tv ad or gotten one campaign call. There really are democrats in this state, plus we have abortion and weed on the ballot this year. It would be a good year for a democratic push. Beautiful post, Noel. I wholeheartedly agree with you that compassion and empathy for our fellow human beings, no matter their race, creed, country of origin, etc. is of utmost importance. That sentiment seems to be lost on so many these days. It's one of the reasons I am so involved with Braver Angels. It's a wonderful organization that seeks to depolarize America on so many fronts. I am a part of the music arm of the organization. And I will be co-hosting a nation-wide Braver Angels SongFaire to be held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2024. It will feature musicians from across the country. Each artist will be able to present an original or cover song that speaks to the main message of Braver Angels - that we are all brothers and sisters at heart, here in celebration of our differences. Every human deserves respect and nurturing. It's totally free to attend and present your song which may be live or recorded. I will attempt to put a link to sign up in a post on my substack. Of course they won't admit defeat in November. I worry about how bloody the MAGA takeover will be.
