The poll numbers that you see regarding President Biden’s favorability ratings and his administration’s accomplishments do not reflect the fact that we are a different country post-Trump; we are in an ‘alternative facts’ era, coupled with the mainstreaming of QAnon conspiracy theories into GOP rhetoric.
Can’t agree more. I say it’s up to Biden and hope he signs on. He’s doing a superb job. It’s my belief we are not far enough along away from Trump for him to go just yet. Putin and Trump my be a few years younger but I argue they are all of the same generation of politics. As I live in another country (yes I am American)..I only caught today bits and pieces of the State of the Union address. I actually felt sick seeing and hearing the disrespect those nitwits showed to Pres Biden. The political stage imore now like an old WWF tv show. The only comfort was seeing the plans to disband SS and Medicare shot down..oh and Mitt Romney telling off that creepy Santos. God he makes my skin crawl..Best to you Noel

I have always said that President Biden can never have good poll numbers, as long as a significant number of Republicans don't even believe that he was elected President. I would like to see polling of those who actually believe that he was elected. I suspect that he might break 50% approval. Thank you for eloquently making my point.
1) The media's incessant bad framing and absence of context can no longer be explained as 'a commitment to impartiality'. It quite clearly is normalizing fascism, irrespective of intent.
2) Garland is highly unlikely to indict Trump (or apparently, anyone in a powerful or political position). Those waiting to be 'rescued' should ignore DOJ and focus on running for local office and school boards, or registering voters. We cannot rely on the archaic DNC or DCCC, especially for down ballot races. Spend time researching judges if there are elections in your state. Wisconsin is 1 very near-term election away from losing its Supreme Court to right-wing extremists.
3) Democratic leadership needs to drop their obsession with 'dignified decorum' and find ways to break through to an apathetic populace. It's not enough to point to GOP extremism...eventually, the extreme becomes 'the new normal'.
