The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, after spending his week promoting misinformation about FEMA’s role in the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts, flew to Butler, Pennsylvania to participate in over-the-top political theater with Donald Trump.
It's beyond belief that nearly half the voting population supports this charlatan! Worse than that, it's terrifying. How can the rest of the world regard the US as anything other than moronic racists when Trump’s rambling ranting is so effective that the election is on a knife edge?

Something that was pointed out to me that bears repeating, you know and I know that Secret Service folks constantly and consistently wear ear pieces for communication between one another while working, esp on a designated watch and security detail of a presidential candidate. that 'Fight Fight Fight' scene / picture...not one of the agents had an ear piece in their ears. Nothing.. That whole act was just that. Some type of theater. I obviously don't know the hows or whys....but I do trust my gut. And millions of other people know that was a hinky deal .. from start to finish. I live in Florida...I'm south..not in the path of this monster Hurricane.but I can be a little bit grateful he's not in the White House right now. I'm here to help as soon as I can. I’m just making an effort everyday to continue breathing and to stay away from the people in my community….racist, selfish assholes with money coming out of every orifice of their bodies…who I know are voting for Trump. Thank you for your exquisite writing even though it scares the crap out of me.
In the Wire "Chalky" White says "when you come for the king, you best not miss." Which is exactly why Noel is not the only one who is wondering if the "near miss" was intentional. Why haven't we heard more from the FBI about the shooter? What really was his motive? Where's the ER report? The "party napkin" at the RNC was totally for show (I'm an MD, I can say that) and unnecessary. Conspiracy theories are part of Trump's and MAGAs DNA, along with a multitude of other toxic, cruel, and malignant elements. We are seeing the tip of a very dangerous iceberg. The blood of that firefighter who was murdered by the assassin's bullet is not the only blood on Trump's little hands. Just ask the families of people who have died from Covid. Yet, and yet, I'll bet that some of those family members, like the people in Butler Pa, will still vote for the toxic fool. That's the problem. I miss Michael Williams.
